- 4 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 brioche buns
- Pickles, sliced
- Lettuce leaves
- Spicy Nashville hot sauce (hot oil, cayenne, paprika, sugar)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.
- Mix flour, paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow dish.
- Dredge chicken in seasoned flour, then fry in hot oil until golden and cooked through.
- Mix hot sauce ingredients and brush generously over the fried chicken.
- Assemble sandwiches with buns, crispy chicken, pickles, lettuce, and drizzle of spicy oil sauce. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more cayenne to the sauce. Adjust spice level to taste.
- Serve with coleslaw for a cooling contrast.
