Ingredients

  • 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, salt, and minced garlic to the yeast mixture.
  3. Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
  6. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  8. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
