- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, salt, and minced garlic to the yeast mixture.
- Gradually mix in flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- You can add shredded cheese inside the rolls for extra flavor.
- For softer crusts, cover the rolls with a clean towel immediately after baking.
