- 1/2 loaf crusty Italian bread or sub roll
- 4 slices turkey or ham deli meat
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 2 slices tomato
- 2 slices pickles (optional)
- 2 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Slice the bread or roll in half lengthwise.
- Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the inside of each half.
- Layer deli meats, cheese, tomato slices, lettuce, and pickles (if using).
- Close the sandwich and slice into manageable pieces.
- Serve immediately, optionally with chips or a side salad.
