- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/4 cup gluten-free soy sauce or coconut aminos
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic powder, ginger, and sesame oil to make the teriyaki sauce.
- Add chicken pieces to the sauce and marinate for 10 minutes.
- Place the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
- Optional: Brush with extra sauce during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
