Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Stir in oats, chocolate chips, and nuts if using.
- Drop spoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing evenly.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on wire racks before serving.
