- 1 ½ cups warm water
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Coarse sea salt for topping
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and melted butter. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down dough and cut into 1-inch pieces.
- Roll each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush with melted butter, sprinkle generously with coarse sea salt.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown. Serve warm with dipping sauces.
